Dr. Carpet Cleaner will perform only the services listed in the approved estimate, work order, or invoice. Any additional services requested on-site, including but not limited to extra rooms, stairs, pet urine treatment, stain treatment, odor treatment, Scotchgard protection, furniture moving, carpet repair, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing, roof cleaning, solar panel cleaning, gutter cleaning, or other add-ons, may result in additional charges.
Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer, visual inspection, photos, measurements, and/or property review when applicable. Final pricing may change if the actual condition, size, contamination level, accessibility, or scope of work is different from what was originally described.
The customer is responsible for providing safe access to the property, running water, electricity, parking access, and clear access to the areas being serviced. Personal items, breakables, electronics, plants, fragile furniture, valuables, and small objects should be removed before service.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for damage to items that were not properly moved, secured, disclosed, or protected prior to service.
The customer is responsible for securing pets, providing gate codes or access instructions, and ensuring that all service areas are accessible at the scheduled time.
The customer is responsible for keeping all pets and children away from the work area before, during, and after the service to prevent contact with cleaning chemicals, tools, hoses, machines, cords, wet surfaces, and other professional equipment.
Because technicians may need to enter and exit the property multiple times during the service, the customer is responsible for keeping pets and children properly supervised, secured, and away from doors, gates, garages, and work areas. Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for pets escaping, children entering unsafe work areas, or any incident caused by lack of supervision during service.
The customer is responsible for securing aggressive, nervous, or unrestrained pets. Any injury, bite, scratch, attack, property damage, delay, or unsafe condition caused by the customer’s pet is the responsibility of the customer.
Light furniture may be moved at the technician’s discretion when safe and practical. Dr. Carpet Cleaner does not move heavy, fragile, antique, valuable, unstable, electronic, or oversized items, including but not limited to beds, dressers, china cabinets, pianos, large appliances, entertainment centers, fish tanks, or items containing personal belongings.
If furniture is moved, Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for pre-existing damage, weak legs, loose parts, scratches, floor marks, or damage caused by furniture that was unstable or improperly assembled before service.
The customer understands that cleaning may reveal or make more visible pre-existing conditions such as carpet wear, fading, discoloration, filtration lines, sun damage, permanent stains, bleach spots, fiber distortion, delamination, loose seams, wrinkles, carpet backing issues, water damage, pet damage, mold, mildew, grout damage, scratched glass, oxidation, hard water damage, or other defects.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for pre-existing damage, manufacturing defects, installation issues, improper maintenance, prior cleaning damage, or conditions that become more visible after cleaning.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner uses professional cleaning methods and products; however, stain and odor removal is not guaranteed. Some stains may be permanent due to age, substance type, chemical reaction, fiber damage, dye loss, sun exposure, previous cleaning attempts, or contamination below the surface.
Pet urine and odor issues may extend beyond the carpet surface into the padding, subfloor, baseboards, walls, grout lines, or surrounding materials. Surface cleaning and enzyme treatment may improve the condition, but complete odor removal cannot be guaranteed unless all affected materials are properly treated, sealed, or replaced.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for odors that return due to contamination hidden beneath the surface or outside the treated area.
Typical drying time may vary depending on carpet type, upholstery type, ventilation, humidity, temperature, soil level, treatment performed, and indoor conditions. The customer is responsible for maintaining proper ventilation after service.
Walking on damp carpet should be minimized, and caution should be used when transitioning from damp carpet to hard flooring to avoid slipping.
Natural fibers, wool, silk, viscose, linen, leather, delicate upholstery, handmade rugs, natural stone, aged grout, oxidized surfaces, tempered glass, hard water damage, solar panels, roof materials, and specialty surfaces may require special procedures and may carry additional risk.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner will use reasonable care and professional judgment, but the customer understands that some materials may have limitations, hidden damage, prior chemical exposure, dye instability, or manufacturer-related issues that can affect the final result.
For window cleaning, Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for pre-existing scratches, failed seals, oxidation, hard water etching, mineral damage, paint overspray, construction debris, silicone, damaged screens, brittle frames, or glass defects.
Hard water restoration, mineral removal, oxidation removal, roof cleaning, solar panel cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing may improve the appearance of the surface, but full restoration is not guaranteed when damage is permanent, etched, oxidized, or deeply embedded.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner is committed to customer satisfaction. If the customer is not satisfied with the service, the customer must notify Dr. Carpet Cleaner within 24 hours after completion of the service.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner will have the opportunity to inspect the area and, when appropriate, perform a reasonable touch-up or corrective service.
This guarantee does not apply to permanent stains, pre-existing damage, wear, pet urine contamination, odor sources below the surface, discoloration, fiber damage, hard water etching, oxidation, construction damage, or conditions outside the control of Dr. Carpet Cleaner.
Refunds are not guaranteed. Dr. Carpet Cleaner reserves the right to attempt correction before any refund or price adjustment is considered.
Except for the satisfaction guarantee described above, Dr. Carpet Cleaner makes no express or implied warranty that all stains, odors, wear marks, discoloration, pet urine contamination, hard water deposits, oxidation, or pre-existing conditions will be completely removed.
Results may vary depending on the condition, age, material, maintenance history, prior chemical exposure, and previous cleaning attempts.
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing before service begins.
Accepted payment methods may include credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Zelle, check, cash, or other approved payment methods.
For commercial accounts or approved invoiced clients, payment terms must be agreed upon in writing before service. Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are due upon receipt.
A deposit may be required to secure an appointment, reserve labor, hold a time slot, or confirm a scheduled service.
Any deposit paid to secure an appointment is refundable if the customer cancels or reschedules the service at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the deposit being non-refundable, at Dr. Carpet Cleaner’s discretion, to cover scheduling, administrative time, reserved labor availability, and lost booking opportunity.
Any unpaid balance not paid when due may be considered past due.
A late fee or finance charge of 1.5% per month, or the maximum amount permitted by law, whichever is lower, may be applied to past due balances after 10 calendar days.
The customer agrees that late fees are intended to compensate Dr. Carpet Cleaner for administrative time, follow-up, accounting, processing, and costs related to delayed payment, and are not intended as a penalty.
If an account remains unpaid, the customer agrees to pay all reasonable costs of collection to the extent permitted by law, including but not limited to collection agency fees, filing fees, court costs, service of process fees, administrative costs, and reasonable attorney’s fees where allowed by law.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner reserves the right to refer unpaid accounts to a collection agency, attorney, or court.
Returned checks, failed payments, reversed payments, declined payments, or insufficient funds may result in additional fees to the extent permitted by law.
The customer remains responsible for the original balance, any applicable late fees, returned payment fees, and reasonable collection costs.
If the customer believes there is an issue with the service or charge, the customer agrees to contact Dr. Carpet Cleaner first and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter before initiating a credit card dispute or chargeback.
If a chargeback is initiated after services have been performed, the customer agrees to cooperate in good faith and provide accurate information to the payment processor. Filing a chargeback does not cancel the customer’s obligation to pay for services that were authorized and performed.
The customer agrees to provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Same-day cancellations, cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, denied access, locked gates, unavailable parking, no running water, no electricity, or failure to provide required access to the property may result in a cancellation fee, trip charge, minimum service charge, or loss of deposit.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner reserves the right to reschedule service due to unsafe conditions, weather, equipment issues, emergency situations, or circumstances outside the company’s control.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner reserves the right to refuse, pause, or stop service if the work environment is unsafe, unsanitary, hazardous, or materially different from what was disclosed before booking.
This includes but is not limited to biohazards, excessive contamination, pest infestation, rodent feces, mold, sewage, blood, bodily fluids, unsafe electrical conditions, aggressive animals, unsecured pets, unsupervised children, unsafe access, unstable surfaces, or abusive behavior.
If service is refused, paused, or stopped due to unsafe or undisclosed conditions, including aggressive animals, unsecured pets, or lack of proper supervision of children or pets, the customer may still be responsible for a trip charge, inspection fee, partial service fee, minimum service charge, or loss of deposit.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner reserves the right to pause, stop, or refuse service if pets are not properly secured or if the work environment becomes unsafe for our technicians.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner may take before-and-after photos or videos for documentation, quality control, training, insurance, dispute resolution, or marketing purposes.
Personal information, addresses, family photos, license plates, and private identifying details will not be intentionally shared publicly without permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dr. Carpet Cleaner’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Dr. Carpet Cleaner is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or pre-existing damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, loss of business, replacement of materials, or damage unrelated to the specific service performed.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.
The customer agrees to notify Dr. Carpet Cleaner in writing of any dispute, complaint, or claim within 24 hours after service completion, or as soon as reasonably possible.
The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally and in good faith.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue the matter in a court of competent jurisdiction, including small claims court when eligible.
For eligible disputes, either party may file a claim in small claims court in the county where the service was performed, where the customer resides, or where otherwise permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents either party from using small claims court where allowed by law.
If both parties agree in writing after a dispute arises, the parties may choose to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration in California under California law.
Arbitration shall not be required unless both parties voluntarily agree to arbitration in writing after the dispute has arisen.
Each party shall be responsible for its own costs and attorney’s fees unless otherwise required or permitted by law, court order, arbitrator decision, or written agreement.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any dispute arising from services performed in California shall be handled in California, unless otherwise required by law.
In any legal action, collection action, or proceeding arising from unpaid invoices, breach of these Terms & Conditions, or enforcement of payment obligations, the prevailing party may recover reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, and related expenses to the extent permitted by law.
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms & Conditions, together with the approved estimate, invoice, work order, written messages, deposits, payments, and any approved change orders, represent the entire agreement between the customer and Dr. Carpet Cleaner regarding the services performed.
Any changes to the scope of work or pricing must be approved by Dr. Carpet Cleaner.
By approving the estimate, signing the work order, accepting the invoice, making a payment, paying a deposit, or allowing service to begin, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
